At Poole Hockey Club, how we play the game matters just as much as the result. Our Code of Conduct and Behaviour Expectations set out the standards we hold ourselves to, on and off the pitch, so that everyone can enjoy hockey in a safe, welcoming and respectful environment.

Living these values means celebrating effort as well as achievement, supporting each other through challenges and always putting the game, and the people in it, first.
Poole Hockey Club Standards
Poole Hockey Club has clear standards that apply to all players, coaches, volunteers and anyone involved in our community. By being part of the club, you agree to uphold our Code of Conduct and embody the Spirit of Hockey. Together, we build an environment where everyone feels they belong, can develop with confidence and can enjoy the game for life.
These Behaviour Expectations, apply to all of us: players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, parents, supporters and committee members. They cover everything from fair play and respect for officials, to safeguarding, social media use and how we represent the club in the wider community. By making our expectations clear, we protect not only individuals, but the culture and reputation of the club.
Conduct that falls short of England Hockey’s Spirit of Hockey or Poole Hockey Club’s Code of Conduct will be addressed through our discipline procedure. The aim is always to resolve issues constructively, support positive change and protect the wellbeing of our members and the reputation of our club.
